Fort Folio tracks an Indian investment portfolio — mutual funds, equities and the rest — on your own devices.
Your holdings are nobody's business but yours, and the app is built so that they stay that way.
Fort Folio has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs, and there is no Technesium server. Your holdings, transactions, valuations and statements are stored in an encrypted vault on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
We cannot see what you own, what you paid, or what it is worth.
To value your portfolio, Fort Folio downloads public price lists that are published for everyone:
portal.amfiindia.com)nseindia.com, bseindia.com)These are ordinary downloads of public files. The app sends no information about you or your portfolio when it makes them — it asks for the same public file every other user of that data asks for, and does the valuation on your device afterwards.
Those requests reach AMFI, the NSE and the BSE, who will see that some device requested a public file, as they would for any visitor. They are not told who you are or what you hold, because the app does not tell them.
Statements you import are parsed on your device. They are not uploaded, and no part of them is transmitted.
You can require Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode to open Fort Folio. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS; the app receives only a yes or no and never sees biometric information.
Used only when you choose to scan a document. Images stay in your encrypted vault.
Signing in identifies you to the app on your own devices. Apple gives the app an anonymous identifier, and your name only if you choose to share it. We do not request your email address, and nothing is sent to us when you sign in.
You can delete that association from within the app at any time.
Deleting the app removes the vault and everything in it from that device. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to delete.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
